National Desk:
Twelve cheetas from South Africa have been brought to Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said it boosts India's wildlife diversity.  The 12 cheetahs were released in the Koono National Park in Shyopur district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.  In September last year, a herd of eight cheetahs was brought in from the African country of Namibia.
"This boosts India's wildlife diversity," PM Modi said on Twitter, tagging a tweet by environment minister Bhupendra Yadav on the arrival of cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh.
The number of cheetahs in Kuno National Park has risen to 20 with the arrival of 12 more cheetahs from South Korea.  Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight cheetahs brought from Namibia at KNP on September 17 last year to mark his birthday.  Five of these cheetahs were female and three were male.  Before being released into the wild, these cheetahs hunted in the park.
