'BJP stealing our gods after projects?' Politics heated up in Maharashtra after Assam government advertisement
News Desk:
The Assam government has claimed that the sixth Jyotirlinga is located on the state's Dakini hill. The advertisement, issued by the Assam tourism department, has drawn sharp criticism in Maharashtra. The Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP lashed out at the BJP over this. It is believed that the sixth Jyotirlinga is located near Bhimashankar in Pune, Maharashtra.
Maharashtra Congress general secretary Sachin Sawant said that after taking away industries, BJP wants to take away Lord Shiva from the state. Now, the BJP-ruled Assam government claims that Bhimashankar's sixth Jyotirlinga is located in Assam and not in Maharashtra's Pune district. We strongly condemn this absurd claim.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar's daughter and MP Supriya Sule also criticized the Assam government over the Jyotirlinga controversy and lashed out at the BJP. She asked, "Has BJP decided to keep nothing for Maharashtra's share? First Maharashtra's share of industries and jobs were stolen and now our cultural and spiritual heritage is going to be stolen. BJP government in Assam do whatever." has been that is absolutely unacceptable and has no basis."
