7 people died in the helicopter crash in Kedarnath. The dead included 6 passengers and a pilot. After this horrific accident, now the conversation between the pilot of the helicopter and the Air Traffic Control Room has come to the fore. It has come to the fore that the pilot of the helicopter had informed the control room about the bad weather before the accident.
Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar told that the helicopter was going from Kedarnath to Phata. Suddenly the weather turned bad. The pilot informed the control room about the bad weather. He said that he would have to return. But after some time the news of the accident was received.
The DGP further told that due to the hilly area, the weather suddenly gets bad here. Nothing is visible due to fog. This accident happened due to bad weather. 3 passengers aboard the helicopter were from Gujarat and 3 from Chennai, while the pilot was from Mumbai.
The helicopter that fell victim to the accident was going towards Guptkashi carrying pilgrims from Kedarnath. Then the helicopter crashed due to bad weather near Garudchatti, 2 km from Kedarnath Dham. First the helicopter hit some place and then it exploded. Due to this, the people sitting in the helicopter died a painful death.
