Binny, 67, is not new to cricket administration.  He has also played the role of a coach, a former national selector before this.  He has worked with the same organization before taking over as the President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).  When Binny takes over as the head of the country's cricket board, the expectations from him are also high.
