The government has taken a tough stand in the matter of selling 'mother's milk' (Breast/Human Milk) in the name of dairy license. The government has given orders to cancel the license of the company selling any such product in the name of milk products (Milk or Dairy Products), as well as to take necessary legal action if needed. The government has clearly said that the sale of 'mother's milk' will not be allowed in India.
The government has taken this big step against the commercial sale of breast milk. It has been said by the government that if there is any report related to the sale of breast milk in the name of milk or dairy products under the FSSAI license, then in such case the license will be canceled with forfeiture of stocks. will go. Along with this, other strict action will also be implemented. Appropriate legal action will be taken against such FBOs (Food Business Operators) as per the provisions of the FSS Act 2006 and the rules/regulations made thereunder.
It is worth noting that in the month of July, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) took action against one such company and canceled its license. A company named Neolacta Lifesciences Private Limited (NLPL) was working to sell Breast Milk in India. Some activists had objected to this Bengaluru-based company, after which FSSAI took action and canceled its license.
