Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the country's new CDS General Anil Chauhan are going to Jodhpur in Rajasthan on 3 October i.e. today. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and CDS will attend a program organized in Jodhpur in which indigenous Light Attack Helicopters are to be inducted and deployed in the army.
Chief of Air Staff Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary will also attend the event going to be held at Jodhpur Airbase. The new CDS General of the country, Anil Chauhan, told the three armies of the country that now we should move towards the new theater command. So that better coordination can be done in the preparations for the war. This is the first official visit by General Chauhan after assuming the post of CDS. Significantly, indigenous light attack helicopters are being deployed at Jodhpur airbase.
The Light Combat Helicopter has been developed by the state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Its main objective is to provide lethal combat capability to the army in high altitude areas.According to the information received from the army, the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) will have great agility, mobility. Its range has been increased to strike in high places. Not only this, LCH is equipped with all-weather attack technology. This means that weather complications like fog, rain will not have any effect on its firepower.
The Light Combat Helicopter will bring the message of death for the enemy. Actually this helicopter has the capability of Destruction of Enemy Air Defense (DEAD). That is, if needed, the LCH can destroy the enemy's air defense. Apart from this, this helicopter is also capable of carrying out roles like Counter-insurgency and Combat search and rescue (CSAR).
