There is great news for the devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi. Haryana Roadways has started bus service till Katra. The bus will operate from Delhi via Panipat. Haryana Roadways has also released the time table of this bus. Everyday bus from Panipat depot will leave Delhi at 7:30 PM and will reach Panipat at 9 PM.
There will be a reservation for this bus from Delhi. If the seat is vacant then only the seat will be available. Initially a bus has been deployed on this route. Once the paperwork is completed, 4 new buses will also be sent to Katra. Further, bus facility can be started for direct Katra from Panipat depot also. Discussion on this proposal is going on.
At present it takes 3 days for a bus to return from Katra. Last year, the bus service on Katra route was stopped due to low income. Now restarted. Pankaj Punia, Traffic Manager of Panipat Roadways Depot said that bus facility has been started for Katra. No problem will be allowed to the passengers.
