The 2022 National Teacher Awards have been presented to Meenakshi Goswami.
 Meenakshi Goswami as  Principal of Chandra Nath Sharma Higher Secondary School, Bihaguri, Sonitpur district.
 A total of 46 teachers have been selected for the award this year, which is given annually by the School Education and Literacy Department of the Ministry of Education.Meenakshi Goswami is the only teacher selected from Assam.The awards will be presented by President Draupadi Murmu in New Delhi on September 5 on the occasion of Teachers' Day.The award includes a certificate, cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- and a silver medal.The award is given annually for outstanding contribution to the improvement of the quality of education in the country.
