'Akasa Air' gets operation certificate, flight may start this month

Recently, Akasa Air, launched by Rakesh Junjunwala, has received its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).  The airline had been applying to operate flights in India for a long time.The company's aircraft will start flying after receiving permission from the Civil Aviation Ministry of India.  The company is expected to start flights within this month.  The new airline received its first Boeing aircraft a few days ago and announced that it would soon start flights to the country.Now, since the new airline has received its operator certificate, it is ready to fly soon.  The official Twitter handle of Akasa Air has also shared the permission.  "We are delighted to report that we have obtained Air Operator Certificate (AOC). This is an important milestone, enabling us to commence commercial activities," the airline said in the tweet.The airline recently made 72 Boeing 737 Max aircraft ready for the first time at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.  Akasa Air has ordered 72 Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, the first 18 of which are scheduled to arrive in March 2023 and the remaining 54 in the next four years.
