Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain arrested for money laundering

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday on charges of money laundering.  Satyendra Jain is a senior minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government and he has many portfolios.  He was also a minister in the first term of the AAP government in Delhi.
 Significantly, last month, the ED attached assets worth Rs 4.81 crore of Satyendar Jain's family and companies.  Jain is the Minister of Health, Power, Home, PWD, Industries, Urban Development, Floods, Irrigation and Water in the Arvind Kejriwal-led government.  In a statement, the Enforcement Directorate had said that it has issued a provisional order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for attachment of assets.
