Assam Agricultural University has received A grade from the National Agricultural Education Assessment Board

The Assam Agricultural University confers National Honour.  The National Board of Assessment of Agricultural Education (NAEA) has awarded A grade to Assam Agricultural University for its outstanding services in the field of agricultural education, research and extension.  The National Agricultural Education Evaluation Board (NAEEB) has awarded A grade to Assam Agricultural University (NAU) at its 30th meeting held on 17 March.Dr. PS Pandey, Assistant Director General, Education Quality Assessment and Reform Branch, Agricultural Research Council of India, sent a letter to the Government of Assam and the Vice-Chancellor of the University.  The assessment will be applicable for the next five years till 31st March.The awards were presented after a five-member team of the National Agricultural Education Evaluation Board visited nine colleges under the university and took a detailed look at the internal conditions of the university through audio-visual management.  After this evaluation, the university will regularly monitor the activities of self-learning systems , students-teachers and degree courses by the Agricultural Research Council of India.
