News Desk: Good news for North East The northeastern capital city will be connected to New Delhi by 2024. This was stated by Union Minister for Railways, Coal and Mines (State) Rao Saheb Danve. The Union Minister announced his visit to Tripura on April 21 to inspect various development works related to the Railway Department. In a press conference, Union Minister Danve said that real development in the North East has started only after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country in 2014. Modi in particular has attached special importance to the development of the North East."Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we are working to connect North-East Delhi by rail. About 60 per cent of the work has already been completed. The rest will be completed by 2024," the minister said.
