India's Manish Rathore, Hitesh and Avinash Jamwal made it to the semi-finals of the World Boxing Cup Brazil 2025 with easy wins in their respective weight categories on Wednesday. Jamwal defeated Germany's Dennis Brill by unanimous decision in the 65kg category while Hitesh defeated Italy's Gabriele Guidi Rontani by unanimous decision in the 70kg category.
Manish defeated Paris Olympian Yusuf Chotia of Australia in the 55kg category. There was a tough fight between the two boxers, but in the end the Indian boxer emerged victorious. Three judges decided in favor of Manish while two gave equal points to both the boxers. In the semi-finals, Manish will face Nursultan Altynbek of Kazakhstan while Hitesh will play against Makan Taraore. Jamwal will face Gianluigi Malanga of Italy.
