Sarhul festival was celebrated in the red ground of Khario in Barkatha

Sarhul festival was celebrated in the Lal Maidan situated in Khario of the block. The tribals worshipped nature along with trees and plants. On this occasion, women made garlands of flowers of Sal tree and put them on their foreheads. Santhal families and Hadam people from various villages of the block participated in Sarhul Puja. Chief guest of Sarhul festival was District Land Conservation Survey Officer Anup Hembram, special guest Block 20-point Chairman Pradeep Prasad, Vice President Md Kudush Ansari, JMM leader Vasudev Mahato, Mukhiya Rita Devi, Panchayat Samiti member Surajmuni Murmu, Deputy Mukhiya Mamta Devi, Degalal Sao were present. In Sarhul festival, tribal families presented Santhal dance and Jhumar with their traditional costumes. On this occasion, people said that this Sarhul festival is a festival related to nature. In this, trees, plants and nature are worshipped.
