Klub-S anti-ship cruise missile deal between India and Russia

India has signed a major deal with Russia for the purchase of anti-ship cruise missiles. The aim of this deal is to strengthen the operational capability of the Indian Navy's submarine fleet. However, the Defense Ministry has not given any official information about the name, number and cost of the missile systems. According to sources associated with the defense establishment, this deal includes the purchase of Klub-S missile system, which is part of the Kalibr missile family. This long-range missile system is specially designed for submarines.
