Victor Ambrose and Gary Ruvkun discovered microRNA, won the Nobel Prize in Medicine

The announcement of the 2024 Nobel Prizes began on Monday.  The winners of the award for the field of physiology or medicine were announced.  This year, Victor Ambrose and Gary Ruvkun of the United States have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.  Both have been awarded the honor for their discovery of microRNA.  This year's award is the 115th Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine since  The 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics will be announced on Tuesday, followed by the chemistry prize on Wednesday.
