MP State Election Commission successfully conducts paperless voting process for first time in country

Paperless voting has been introduced for the first time in the country.  Madhya Pradesh witnessed the first paperless voting in the gram panchayat elections in the capital Bhopal's Bairasia tehsil on Wednesday.  Madhya Pradesh has thus become the first state to introduce paperless voting for the first time.
 Paperless voting started at a booth as a pilot project in Gram Panchayat Ratua Ratanpur of Barsia tehsil in Bhopal at 7 am on Wednesday.  Voting was held in the seat vacated after the death of the former sarpanch.
