A history has been written today at a hospital in Delhi.  Now a painter who lost both his arms in a tragic accident will pick up his brush again.  How so, that is because the surgical excellence of a group of doctors in Delhi has been shown.  Also thanks must be given to the resolve of a woman to donate her organs, which changed many lives.
The first successful Bilateral Hand Transplant has been performed in Delhi.  The 45-year-old has his hands back.  Painter will also be discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital tomorrow.  In 2020, he lost both his arms in a train accident.  Money was not enough for the person and his family to wait for death to come, but now his life has changed.
Meena Mehta, the former administrative head of a prominent school in south Delhi, had died.  Mehta, during her lifetime, had asked for her organs to be used after her death.
Her kidney, liver and cornea have changed the lives of three other people.  And her hands now revived even the dreams of a painter.
