Renowned Odissi dancer Mayadhar Raut has passed away at the age of 92. Let us tell you that he breathed his last on Saturday, February 22, at his Delhi home.
Let us tell you, Mayadhar Raut was born on 6 July 1933 in Odisha and was a Padma Shri award winner. Winner Mayadhar Raut is also considered the 'Father of Odissi Dance'. He led the revival of Odissi in the 1950s with scripture-based knowledge and was among the leading artists of the dance style.
