France hosted the International Humanitarian Conference on Sudan

An international humanitarian conference for Sudan and neighboring countries was held in Paris, France on April 15, 2024 to raise funds for the people of Sudan caught up in the war between the Sudanese army and the rebel paramilitary force Rapid Support Forces.
 The conference was held on February 7, 2024 in response to an appeal for United Nations funds.
 Conference organizers and participants
 France, Germany and the European Union organized the International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan and Neighboring Countries.  The conference was attended by ministers and representatives from more than 58 states, including neighboring and regional countries and donors.  It was also attended by representatives from various regional organizations such as the African Union, several UN programs and agencies, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Arab Development Bank.  About 50 international and Sudanese NGOs also participated in the conference.
