JNUSU Elections: JNU announces student union elections after four years

The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) elections have been announced.  On March 22, students will vote to elect JNUSU.  The results will be announced on March 24. Voting will be held in two phases from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.  Elections will be conducted by ballot paper.
The Presidential Debate will be held on March 20. The decision was taken at a meeting of the election committee with student organizations that lasted till late Sunday night.  The final schedule has been released.  Candidates will file their nominations on the 15th.  The final list of candidates will be released on March 16.
JNU Student Union Election is going to be held after four years.  The elections had been stalled since the COVID-19 pandemic.  All student organizations were constantly demonstrating for the elections.  The JNU administration issued a notification in February consenting to the election.
