Former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa has been elected president of the European Council

Former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa has been elected President of the European Council.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated him.  PM Modi said he looked forward to working with him (Costa's) to take the India-EU strategic partnership to further heights.  Costa, who hails from Goa, India, was recently elected president of the European Council.
