Amarnath Yatra: Indian Army launches Operation Shiva

The Army has launched Operation Shiva to ensure security of pilgrims on the Shri Amarnath Yatra. This operation is focused on the Yatra route and adjoining areas which have been declared as high risk sensitive areas based on terrorist activities.

The Army has set up a dedicated unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) grid consisting of more than 50 anti-drone systems and electronic warfare equipment to deal with drone threats on the Yatra route. The Yatra routes, the holy cave are being monitored by unmanned systems.
