Justice V Ramasubramanian Appointed NHRC Chairperson

Former judge of Supreme Court judge Justice V Ramasubramanian has been appointed chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission.“In exercise of the power conferred on me by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, I, Droupadi Murmu, President of India, do hereby appoint Shri Justice V Ramasubramanian (Retd), to be the chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office,” read a notification made public on Monday.
