Cabinet Appoints Govind Mohan As Next Union Home Secretary

Senior IAS officer Govind Mohan has been appointed as the next Union Home Secretary, succeeding Ajay Kumar Bhalla, according to an official order issued on last Wednesday. Currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Mohan will assume the role of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Home Affairs before taking over as Home Secretary.
