Shri Subhash Prasad Gupta was appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Suriname

Subhash Prasad Gupta, currently serving as India's deputy chief of mission in Hanoi, has been appointed as India's next ambassador to Suriname , the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.  Subhash Prasad Gupta is a 2006 batch Foreign Service Officer.  He is expected to take office soon, according to the Foreign Ministry.  "Shri Subhash Prasad Gupta (IFS: 2006), currently Deputy Head of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Hanoi, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Suriname," the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.  "He is expected to take office shortly," it said.
