Poonam Gupta becomes 16th Finance Commission advisor

The 16th Finance Commission on constituted an advisory council.  The Commission has appointed Dr Poonam Gupta as the Convener of the Advisory Council.  Besides, DK Srivastava, Nilkanth Mishra, Poonam Gupta, Pranjul Bhandari and Rahul Bajoria have been made members of the advisory council.
The task of the Advisory Council is to advise the Commission on any terms of reference (TOR) or related matters.  is to monitor and evaluate studies commissioned by the Finance Commission.  as well as assisting in the preparation of papers and research studies to enhance the Commission’s understanding of the issues in its TOR.
