Manipur CM's advance security team ambushed by Kuki militants

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh's advance security team has been ambushed by Kuki militants.  The advance security team was attacked by militants while it was on its way to Jiribam ahead of the CM's visit on Tuesday.  The CM was scheduled to visit Jiribam on Tuesday.

 Two security personnel including CID state police and CISF personnel were injured in the attack.  One of the injured has been shifted to Imphal.  Violence has been reported in Jiribam for the past two days and the situation is tense.  Manipur CM Biren Singh is scheduled to visit Jiribam on Tuesday to take stock of the situation.
