Russian President Vladimir Putin has reappointed former President Mikhail Mishustin as prime minister and sent his name to the lower house of parliament for approval.
In line with Russian law, Mishustin, 58, handed in his cabinet resignation on Tuesday as Putin began his fifth term as president. Mishustin had been prime minister for the past four years.However, political pundits expected Mishustin to be reappointed. He believes Putin likes his skill and distance from the spotlight.
