The ICC Women's T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in Bangladesh this year

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the Women's Twenty20 World Cup schedule.  This year the Women's T20 World Cup is to be played in Bangladesh.  The opening match of the World Cup will be played between England and South Africa on 3 October.  The six-time champions will start their campaign against Qualifier-1.

India are placed in Group-A with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Qualifier-I.  Group B includes South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Qualifier-2.  Australia beat hosts South Africa in Cape Town last year to win the title for a record sixth time.  The best performance of the Indian team was in 2020, when they reached the final.
