FWD-200B: India has achieved great success in the defense sector. After years of efforts, the country has got its first indigenous bomber UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). It is named FWD-200B. The world got its first glimpse of it during a function in Bangalore. Bangalore-based Flying Ways Defense and Aerospace Technologies has built it. The highlight of this UAV is that it has been designed and manufactured entirely in India.
The FWD-200B is seen as an important step towards India's self-sufficiency in strategic defense equipment. It is also being compared to the US Predator drone. which costs India 10 times more than the FWD-200B. A US Predator drone costs India Rs 250 crore. While this indigenous UAV will be available for just Rs 25 crore.
