Jagjit Pavadia: Jagjit Pavadia re-elected to the International Narcotics Control Board

Jagjit Pawadia of India has been re-elected to the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), a UN agency.  She won the highest number of votes in the highly competitive election organized by the Social Council (EasliOSOC).
 "India's candidate Jagjit Pawadia was re-elected to the International Control Board for the period 2025-2024 in the elections held in New York," External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote.
 S Jayashankar further informed that India garnered the highest number of votes among all the elected member countries of the Board.  She appreciated the team of India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations and the Ministry of External Affairs.  India received 41 votes out of 53 voting members of ECOSOC.
