Eid ul-Fitr is a time of joy and gratitude.  The festival symbolizes the end of Ramadan.  On this auspicious day, families gather, prayers are offered and delicious feasts are shared.  It is a celebration of community, compassion and the renewal of spiritual bonds. Eid-ul-Fitr is the major festival of the Muslim community.  The wait for this festival ends by seeing the moon of Eid.  Before that, followers of Islam fast during the month of Ramadan and start preparations for Eid.This year, the holy festival is being celebrated on April 11.
