The Bombay High Court has directed Netflix to do a special screening of the CBI documentary series on Sheena Bora murder case key accused Indrani Mukherjee.  Earlier, Netflix clarified in the High Court that it will not release the series till February 29.  Hearing is going on in the High Court on the petition filed by CBI.  The petition demands a ban on the release of the series.  The petition of Justice Revati Dhare and Justice Manjusha Deshpande was heard on Thursday.  During the hearing, the bench asked why this series is not being shown to the CBI?  What is the problem in this?  The bench said that just as the accused has rights, similarly the prosecution and the victim also have rights.  During this, the court was informed about the inclusion of interviews of five witnesses of the case in the series.
Earlier, senior advocate Ravi Kadam, appearing for Netflix, said that showing the series to CBI first would be a kind of 'pre-censorship'.  If CBI had any objection to the series then it should have filed the petition earlier instead of waiting till the last moment.  Because it has been decided to release the series on 23 February.  If the court wants, it can watch the series.  On this, the bench said that the hearing of the case related to Sheena Bora is still going on and the statements of the witnesses are being recorded.
