Jnanpith Award 2023:
Famous lyricist and poet Gulzar and Sanskrit scholar Jagadguru Rambhadracharya will be given the Jnanpith Award for 2023. This information has been given by the selection panel. Let us tell you that both the celebrities are quite famous in their respective fields.
Rambhadracharya, the founder and head of Tulsi Peeth in Chitrakoot, is a renowned Hindu spiritual leader, teacher and author of over 100 books. The Jnanpith Committee said in a statement that it has been decided to give this award (for 2023) to eminent writers of two languages, Sanskrit litterateur Jagadguru Rambhadracharya and famous Urdu litterateur Gulzar.
Let us tell you that Gulzar is known for his works in Hindi cinema. He is considered one of the finest Urdu poets of this time. Before this, he has also received Sahitya Akademi Award for Urdu in 2002, Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2013, Padma Bhushan in 2004. Apart from this, he has received five National Film Awards for his various works in Hindi cinema.
