Haldwani Violence: CM Dhami reached Haldwani and met the injured, 5 dead so far

So far, 5 people have died while many are injured in the violence that broke out during the demolition of illegal madrasa and namaz place in Haldwani on 8 February (Thursday).  Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haldwani and met the injured and inquired about their well-being.  Regarding this incident, Haldwani MLA Sumit Hirdesh and Congress state president Karan Mahara have accused the officials of escalating the riot.
At present, Section 144 has been imposed in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, the entire area has been surrounded.  About 1 thousand police personnel are deployed in the city.  Along with this, paramilitary forces have also been called.  The entire city has been converted into a cantonment.  SSP Nainital Prahlad Narayan Meena said that many miscreants have been caught and along with them, those people are also present who added fuel to the fire.  At present, internet service is closed in Haldwani and there are orders to shoot the rioters at sight.
