Haldwani Violence: 'Violence was planned in Banbhulpura, big statement of Haldwani DM

Violence broke out in Haldwani, Uttarakhand on Thursday.  When the Municipal Corporation had come to take action against illegal mosque and madrassa.  The situation has become so bad that orders have been given to shoot the rioters at sight.  Taking action against illegal construction in Haldwani will prove costly for the administration.  Even the Municipal Corporation employees themselves will not be aware of this.  They did not know that the answer to the bulldozer action on illegal construction would be stone pelting.  The administration demolished the illegal construction with bulldozers but after this the environment of Haldwani deteriorated.
Haldwani DM Vandana Singh said that violence was carried out in Banbhulpura as part of planning.  Stones were collected on the roofs.  The fire occurred half an hour after the encroachment was removed.  Arson was carried out outside the police station.  There were also attempts to burn people alive.  No one was harmed by removing the encroachment.  Police took action after stone pelting and arson.  Petrol bombs were used in the violence.  Firing was also done at the police station.  After this force was used.  Curfew was imposed.  The miscreant tried to kill people.
