Rajasthan: Diya Kumari who defeated Congress candidate by 71 thousand votes

In the Rajasthan Assembly elections, Jaipur's princess and BJP candidate Diya Kumari has registered a landslide victory from Vidyadhar Nagar assembly seat.  She defeated her nearest candidate Congress candidate Sitaram Aggarwal by a margin of 71368 votes.  According to the data released by the Election Commission, Diya Kumari has got 158516 votes.
 Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur is the daughter of late Brigadier Bhavani Singh and Maharani Padmini Devi.  She entered politics 10 years ago and was elected MLA from Sawai Madhopur in 2013.  Diya had also won the Lok Sabha elections from Rajsamand in the year 2019.  This year, BJP had expressed confidence in Diya Kumari and fielded her from Vidyadhar Nagar assembly seat of Jaipur and she has lived up to the expectations of BJP and won the assembly elections with a huge majority.
 Diya Kumari received her early education from Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls Public School, Jaipur and Modern School, New Delhi.  However, Dia later moved to London to pursue her graduation in decorative arts from Chelsea School of Arts.  Being the only child of her parents, she grew up under the care of her grandmother Rajmata Gayatri Devi.
