2% 'menstrual leave' for students approved by Gauhati University

The Gauhati University has taken a commendable step for the convenience of university students.  From now on, menstrual leave will be granted to students of Gauhati University and every college under it.
Gauhati University Vice-Chancellor Pratap Jyoti Handique on Thursday approved a 2% relaxation in the minimum class attendance requirements for students in the academic departments and affiliated colleges of the university  does.  From now on, the minimum class attendance for students to sit for the semester examination will be 73%.
