Nationaldesk:
The CBI on Wednesday prepared a list of 53 officers to probe the Manipur violence cases.  These include 29 women.  The officers have been recruited from CBI offices across the country.
Deputy Superintendents of Police cannot be made monitoring officers in such cases of violence, so the CBI has sent three DIGs and a Superintendent of Police to oversee the probe.
The DIG officers are Lovely Katiyar, Nirmala Devi and Mohit Gupta.  Joint Director Ghanshyam Upadhyay will oversee the entire investigation process.  Superintendent of Police Rajveer will report to him.
According to officials, this is the first mobilization of its kind in which such a large number of women officers have been deployed simultaneously in the service.
Two additional female police superintendents and six female deputy superintendents are also part of the team.  Besides, 16 inspectors and 10 sub-inspectors will also be part of the team.
