PM Modi to attend BRICS summit: The BRICS summit will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on August 22-24 in South Africa. South Africa holds the chairmanship of the 15th BRICS Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the BRICS summit. PM Modi will arrive in South Africa on August 22. PM Modi will attend the summit on August 23. PM Modi may leave South Africa for Greece on August 24. The official announcement of the Greece tour is yet to be announced.
The summit in South Africa from August 22 to 24 will discuss the expansion of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Iran, Indonesia and Kazakhstan are among the countries that have expressed their desire to become members of BRICS and have applied for its membership. Russia's Permanent Representative to the BRICS had earlier said his country neither welcomed nor opposed the entry of any new member into the group.
However, for any country to become a member of the organization, it is essential that all countries agree.
