In a few hours, the country is going to celebrate its 77th Independence Day. On this special occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the record 10th consecutive time. Tight security has been put in place around the Red Fort. The Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort on August 15 are going to be special in many ways. This time, PM-Kisan has invited around 1,800 special guests from across the country including beneficiaries.
This initiative is in line with the Government's 'Public Participation' approach. These special guests include more than 400 Sarpanchs from more than 660 vibrant villages. In addition, 250 farmers affiliated to the Farmer Producer Organization Scheme; 50 participants each of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana; 50 labor yogis (construction workers) and 50-50 khadi workers from the Central Vista project including the new Parliament House are involved.
Personnel of Seema Road Organization and those helping and working in Amrit Sarovar projects and Har Ghar Jal Yojana projects have also been invited along with their spouses to attend the Independence Day celebrations. Besides, 50 primary school teachers, nurses and fishermen are also on the list.
