Reshma Kewalramani :Indian women at the helm of Rs 7,40,000 crore US companies

Women have earned a reputation in any field, whether it is technology, science or business.  
  One such Indian woman is Reshma Kewalramani.  She has made India proud by achieving success abroad.  Reshma Kewalramani is the first woman in history to head Vertex, an American biopharmaceutical company with revenues of Rs 7,40,000 crore.  Reshma is the CEO and chair of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, a Weston-based biotechnology firm, and has been a managing member of the biomedical sciences careers program.  She has also served on the Weston University School of Medicine Dean’s Advisory Board.  Reshma also served as the first director of the Kidney Health Initiative.  She is also a researcher at the American Society of Nephrology.
  Born in Mumbai, Reshma Kewalramani immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 11.She then began her education at Weston University School of Medicine.  She received her medical degree from the same institution and completed the general management program at Harvard Business School.  She joined Vertex in 2017 as Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of Global MedicineDevelopment and Medical Affairs.
 In 2020, Kewalramani was nominated as President and CEO of Vertex and appointed as a director.  Reshma's identity changed after this.  Reshma made history as the first woman to run the Rs 740,000 crore American Biopharmaceutical Corporation.
