The Gauhati High Court has suspended the admission of OBC and MOBC students in medical education

Gauhati High Court important directives.  The court ordered the reservation of seats in medical education.
 The court stayed the enrollment in medical education till August 11. The suspension is for admission of OBC and MOBC students.  The court admitted the government's shortcomings in the reservation.  This was admitted by Advocate General Devajit Saikia.
   There is a directive to reserve 15% seats for OBC, MOBC in Assam.  This seat should be reserved only for the economically weaker sections of OBCs.
 However, the state government has not complied with this rule.  Three disqualified candidates appealed to the High Court against this.  The court is hearing the petitions of these candidates.
