Pakistan: Major train accident in Pakistan, derailed train, so far 15 dead, many injured

A major train accident has been reported in Pakistan.  According to Pakistani media, ten coaches of the Rawalpindi-bound Hazara Express have derailed.  At least 15 people have been reported killed in the accident.  Close to 50 people were reported injured.  The accident took place near Sahara railway station.  The station is located between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah.
The injured have been admitted to Nawabshah Medical Hospital.  The cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained.  Officials are investigating.  Pakistani media quoted Pakistan Railways Divisional Superintendent Sukur Mohammadur Rahman as saying that 10 carriages were derailed.  Police say passengers have been evacuated from the affected carriages.  Nearby hospitals have declared an emergency.
