Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was "guilty". That is why he did not start the debate on Manipur in Parliament. Lalu Yadav was asked why the Prime Minister had not made any statement on the Opposition's demand for Manipur and the commotion in both Houses of Parliament. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is guilty. So he cannot face it," Lalu Yadav said.
The RJD chief was also asked about his past satire on the Prime Minister, where he said Modi would settle abroad after losing the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He repeated his statement, saying the prime minister must flee like former Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos, who fled his country.
The news agency quoted Lalu Yadav as saying, "They are getting outside space. They have to run like Marcos (Ferdinand Marcos). They have committed many sins..." Earlier on Sunday, Lalu Prasad had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is worried about losing next year's Lok Sabha elections and is looking for a place to stay abroad.
Lalu Yadav was asked this after PM Modi accused the recently formed opposition coalition India of corruption, brotherhood and politics of appeasement. "It is Modi who is planning to quit... that is why he is visiting so many countries. He is looking for a place where he can relax and have pizza, momos," the RJD leader said and enjoy the chow mein."
