The incident of two women being walked around naked in Manipur has shaken everyone from Parliament to the Supreme Court.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the incident in Manipur as a shame to civilized society.  The Supreme Court, meanwhile, has taken automatic note of the Manipur incident and decided to hear it.  Chief Justice DY Chandrachud described it as a disturbing incident.  The apex court has decided to hear the case next Friday.  The Supreme Court has asked the Center and the state what steps have been taken on the Manipur incident.  The apex court has sought reply from both the governments.
The Chief Justice said it could not be accepted.  Using women as a tool in communal conflict is not acceptable.  This is a violation of the powers of the Constitution.  We are extremely sad to see this video.  If the government does not act, we will.
