Heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding in Himachal Pradesh have led to the disappearance of an Assam couple and a young individual.
The trio reportedly hailed from the Sonari region of the Charaideo district in Assam.
The missing couple were identified as Debashish Rajkhowa and Sikha Phukan, residents of Parbatipur area in Sonari.
The youth who disappeared has been identified as Santanu Gogoi, according to media reports.
Concerned about their whereabouts, the family members of the couple sought assistance from the Himachal Pradesh Police.
Although the police assured them that the couple was safe, the family remains anxious as they have not been able to establish direct contact with them.
Himachal Pradesh is experiencing flash floods and severe repercussions due to incessant heavy rains.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red and orange alerts on Monday.
