Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's bail in the defamation case has been extended till April 13. The Surat Sessions Court on Monday granted relief to Rahul Gandhi.  Rahul Gandhi will no longer have to appear in court on April  The hearing on the challenge to the sentence will be held on May  Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, along with other senior party leaders, arrived at the District and Sessions Court in Surat.  Modi arrived in Surat on Monday to file an appeal against the trial court's verdict in a defamation case over his 2019 remarks.  Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi.  Last month, a Surat court convicted Rahul Gandhi for his speech and sentenced him to two years in jail.  Rahul Gandhi lost his Lok Sabha membership after the same conviction.
