Sania Mirza will retire from tennis.Sania announced her retirement from the game in February this year.Mirza announced her retirement on January 6 in an interview with the World Tennis Association. 36-year-old Mirza said on the World Tennis Association website that the Dubai Tennis Championships in February will be the last tournament of her professional career.The six-time Grand Slam doubles champion said she had planned to retire in 2022 but injuries delayed her decision.Sania Mirza, who was crowned the women’s doubles winner in 2016, will play her final match at the Australian Open this month.Mirza last played at Wimbledon in July 2022, losing a mixed doubles semi-final match against defending champions Neil Skupski and Desire Krawczyk at the All England Club.
